National Railway Museum
The National Railway Museum tells the story and history of rail transport in Britain. Full of excellent displays and plenty of visiting exhibitions, there's plenty to learn. Step back in time as you travel by steam train through the yard on a steam locomotive. It's a great day out for the whole family with amazing trains on display and free entry.

York City Walls
Set aside a couple of hours to walk the city walls as the encircling route stretches for approximately two miles. The well-preserved walls, some of the medieval city walls still standing in England today make it a great circular route to see the city. Plus, there are benches at several of the towers so you can take in the view while you rest.
