Enjoy being whisked away to take in the sights of Masham, Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, Wharf Dale, Grassington and Bolton Abbey. Indulge in a tasty picnic and fizz along the way before heading back to a charming hotel filled with history in the heart of York. To enhance your stay dinner is included on one night of your break.
Tour Itinerary
Guests would be collected from Middletons Hotel at 9.00am. With picnic and champagne provided by Middletons
After leaving York and traveling through some lovely and ancient villages in the Vale we will arrive at Masham around 10.00am, a charming market town where we will have a brief tea, coffee, comfort stop.
From Masham the land rises up and we will pass some magnificent Abbey and castle ruins,
After crossing a high Grouse shooting Moor, passing Aysgarth falls, and exploring the outside of Bolton Castle we will go to a perfect beauty spot to enjoy a picnic.
From the picnic site we will go up and over into stunning Wharf Dale stopping late afternoon in Grassington, a primary filming location for the new All Creatures series.
From Grassington, we will make our way to the astonishing Bolton Abbey and then back to Middletons typically returning around 5.30pm/ 6.00pm.

Price based on 2 night break in a comfy double room and with 2 adults sharing. Children are not allowed.
Check-in from 3 pm. If you'd like to arrive a little earlier or add a 3rd night on to your break, or check availability for one of our suites, please call us on 01904 611570 and we can arrange an early check-in for you for a small additional charge. Please contact the hotel to organise your early check-in. Your stay includes car parking* and Wi-Fi. **£30 per person dinner allowance includes food only. Dinner is included on the first night only. *Car parking spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed or reserved but we have several local car parks just a few minutes’ walk away should the rare occasion arise that we are full. Check out time is 11 am on your departure day. Reservations are charged at the time of booking; any reservation cancelled 6 weeks prior to arrival will be refunded. 6 weeks and under to the arrival date will not be amendable; cancellable or refundable.
